I have used these for years to organizes papers for meetings and temporary filing. The combination of color coding and the visibility of the top of the document makes it easy to know what is in each folder, without having to spoil them by writing labels on each. They are a poor value if you use them as permanent files - a great value if you re-use them over and over.
I also take these on personal trips - theater confirmations in one color, hotel information in another, maps in a third, flight schedules in a fourth, etc. At the end of the trip, I save the folders and use them again.
Same thing when recently closing on a condo sale. All the different types of documents went temporarily into these folders, so I could quickly find each piece of paper as it was needed.
Finally, the closed bottom and sides let you drop in a disc, business cards, event ID badge or other smaller items relating to the project and keep everything together. Even clip on a pen.
These do not replace conventional manila folders for long-term filing - they are perfect, though, for temporary projects or information organization.

These folders are durable. However, the package that arrived here was not 3-hole punched as is shown in the image provided. The holes were barely perforated. We are having to run them through our 3-hole punch machine so they can be used. While this isn't a major issue, we would have purchased another product had we known these folders weren't truly pre-punched.
